Art plays an important role in the narrative acting as a tool for characters to explore their emotions, increase their self-esteem and grow as a person. Jade is one of the central characters whose art is a tool that allows her to explore her emotions and grow as a person. Jade’s inability to express her feelings causes her to not be able to have positive interactions with people. She does not know how to have conversations that express what she really wants to say.
