Summary
In her eighth chapter, Jade sits with Cameron as he waits for his mother. She takes his hand. When he sees his mother and lets go of Jade’s hand to run to her, Jade feels a type of grief. Then her mother comes to pick her up. Jade starts to use and aggressive tone with her mother. Then her mother stops her by hugging her. Amy is in the back seat so that Jade can sit in the passenger seat. She lets Amy know that she will tell her what happened later and she imagines how that will go. Later that night, she sneaks out of the house and talks to a sleeping Howie, telling him the truth about her life.
