Importance: Charlie listens as the other girls complain about being in the psychiatric hospital. After trying to live out on the streets after her mother kicked her out of the house, Charlie is grateful to have food, safety, and a warm place to sleep.
Our subconscious is spectacularly agile. Sometimes it knows when to take us away, as a kind of protection. I hope that makes sense.
