Summary
On Wednesday, November 10th, Ginny attends her first basketball practice for the Special Olympics. She notices her Forever Dad sitting with a man in the bleachers who is wearing a leather Patriots jacket. As she drinks from her water bottle, she is reminded of drinking milk and remembers her responsibility to Baby Doll. She is “not supposed to be playing a game,” so she starts “sinking” into her brain (154). Ginny feels “different” when she looks at the man talking to her Forever Dad, and “he makes [her] want to hiss” (155).
Ginny’s Forever Dad takes her to Wagon Hill in the morning to exercise. Ginny unknowingly performs Michael Jackson songs to an audience of strangers hiking by (159).
