Summary

The final story of the novel is titled “Forever Fallen.” The story opens in New York in 2013. Kit and Jem step through a portal that takes them from England to New York. Kit is worried about his welcome but that worry quickly proves unnecessary. Jem thinks back over his life and the many visits he made as a Silent Brother. Some felt his presence was lucky and his welcome was cemented when he then regained his human form and visited the Markets with Tessa, a warlock woman. Kit is soon happily looking around. When someone asks if he is Johnny Rook's son, Kit says he is no longer. They buy a potion from a faerie who gushes about how handsome Jem is.
