Summary
In pages 87 - 107, the Professor returns to the camp looking like he has showered and shaved. He tells Bill he bought supplies for their secret plan.
Later Bill, Pete, and the Professor disappear into the woods while Dan, Molly, and Silvie go off to forage more burdock. As Silvie digs she wonders if primitive knowledge is innate. Rushing to get back, the three return to the camp to find the men fighting with large sticks. The Professor tells everyone they are planning to make a ghost hall like the local tribes used to. Historically, the walls were studded with human skulls. They say they will use the rabbit heads as well as skulls from other animals the Professor bought at the butcher shop.
