Summary
In pages 63 - 86, at breakfast, Silvie has trouble sitting because of her wounds. Bill reprimands her and Alison regarding the rabbits, insisting they be read in time. Silvie speaks up, countering her dad, knowing he will not hit her in front of everyone. Dan steps in, saying he and Pete will handle the rabbits. After some contention, Silvie and Molly leave to forage.
Away from the camp, Molly says they are going to Spar. Silvie worries about her dad's anger if he found out they went to the store. Molly tries to ask if he often loses his temper. Silvie says he is just like that but does means nothing by it. Molly starts talking about her own father's departure.
