Pages 103-133 Summary and Analysis
"The Called Him Deep Throat" is split between a discussion of televangelist Pat Robertson and Watergate conspirator G. Gordon Liddy. Thompson suggests that when Nixon was president, if someone like Robertson had openly suggested the United States assassinate Khadafy, he would have quickly been silenced by G. Gordon Liddy, whom Thompson is convinced is the Watergate leak Deep Throat.
"The Pro-Flogging View" is another response to a letter from Ralph Steadman, who is allegedly complaining about his son sniffing glue and smashing windows. Thompson recommends that Steadman send his son to Thompson with a check for $10,000, so he can smash windows all he wants. Thompson argues that if Steadman does not do this, his son will end up shooting the prime minister of Great Britain, Margaret Thatcher.
