Summary

This part includes both introductions from Ivan and then Rae’s first-person perspectives. The page before Ivan’s introduction includes a picture of Ivan’s face at the microphone, in performance. Ivan starts by explaining how they and Rae worked together first on a show called You Are Here. They wondered how the show would be received since a trans folk musician and a butch storyteller, meaning Rae and Ivan, included no queer content. This show was a hit and together Rae and Ivan toured the world for five years performing their folk and bluegrass music.
