Section 8: The Quiet Knight Summary

Tony does not talk much because as a child, he drank bathroom cleaner which burned his throat and left him with a scratchy, low voice. Tony mimics driving to Dad as a way to ask to borrow the car, and Dad agrees since he thinks Tony is going to basketball practice, but Tony has no intention of going to practice. After checking that he has his full costume, Tony drives to Dave Nash's property where tonight's role-playing game will be held, in their usual spot. Tony parks a half mile down the road and dons his knightly apparel, walking to the shed where the game will begin.
