Section 2: One of Us Summary

Head cheerleader Montgomery K. Bushnell approaches Ezra, David, Mica and Ellen, the four most prominent geeks at her school, to ask them to teach her about their science fiction shows, movies, video games and comics because she wants to impress Ryan, her boyfriend who is interested in "Star Trek". The geeks agree, suggesting her final exam can take place at Locacon, a local sci-fi and fantasy convention. Ellen barely manages to maintain her composure while tutoring the vapid cheerleader, but Ezra's advances are creepy and irritating during his sessions of watching "Star Wars". As David teaches Montgomery about manga, he offers to let her leave with her friends who happen to pass by, but Montgomery chooses to focus on her studies since Locacon is approaching.
