Drogo's group comes upon a village being destroyed by another army. Drogo defeats the army and takes the men as hostages in order to trade them for the ships he will need to sail to the Seven Kingdoms. Daenerys wanders through town and finds men violating the women of the village. Daenerys makes them stop and takes the women as her handmaidens. Later, Daenerys finds Drogo has been wounded. A healer comes to her and offers to help. Daenerys allows her even though Drogo's men believe her to be a witch. Not only does Daenerys trust this healer with her husband, but she also asks her to help when it is her time to give birth.
