February 28: Gabi writes that Beto came home drunk.

March 1: Gabi writes that Beto and her mother had a violently physical argument about Beto getting drunk that led to their mother going into premature labor.

March 3: Gabi writes that her brother, Ernesto Julian Hernandez, has to stay in an incubator until his lungs develop fully. Beto felt guilty.

March 13: Martin encouraged Gabi to deal with her stress by exercising. He told her that running was one way she could make herself feel better. She felt self-conscious putting on clothes to exercise in but then realized that she did feel better when they were finished with their run.
