Summary
In “Chapter 31: Evening,” Chad tells Tamaya and Marshall that he always comes to the woods to climb trees and nails ladder-steps to them. Dogs appear with a rescue team and take the children back, though they do not believe them about the mud.
In “Chapter 32: Turtles,” the senators interview Dr. June Lee, a research scientist for the National Institute of Health. She says she believes the mud in Heath Cliff was full of mutated ergonyms and promises that if Biolene continues to be used then more mutations will occur. The senators thank her for finding a cure, but she says that a local veterinarian, Dr. Crumbly, actually created the cure.
In “Chapter 33: Frankengerms,” Tamaya and her friends were taken to the hospital. Thousands of cases of the rash appeared. The president ordered Heath Cliff to be put under a quarantine.
