Summary

In Chapter 21, Rielle arrived at the metal trial ready to do whatever she had to. But just before she began, she realized that orphans had been placed inside a fiery maze by the Archon, and that they would die if she failed to save them.

In Chapter 22, the Emperor seemed to recognize Eliana. She stumbled and turned, then came back into Moribrae’s private rooms, but the Emperor seemed to possess Moribrae. A bomb went off and Eliana took the opportunity to stab him and kill his guards. Simon came in and they fled together. Moribrae healed and he came after them, but they killed him again. Once outside, Eliana tried to go back in and save the prisoners, some of whom had been children, but Simon said he would have rescued them all if she had listened to his plan, but now...
