Dr. Jeremy Logan

Dr. Jeremy Logan is a Yale history professor by day and an enigmalogist by night. This character investigates suspected supernatural or paranormal instances by using logic and scientific deduction and does not jump to conclusions. He was married but sadly his wife died of cancer. He came to the Adirondacks to Cloudwater in order to finish a paper he had been working on for years. While finishing his monograph he is recruited to help an old college friend discover why several people have been horribly slain.

Jeremy Logan is the main protagonist hero throughout the novel and he comes to the Adirondack Mountains in search of a peaceful place to finish his monograph.
