Summary
Chapter Twenty-One begins with Jeremy in a state of moral uncertainty. He knows that the work the Feverbridge's are doing is important but on the other hand their deception feels wrong to him. But as the days progress, he grows comfortable with the choices he has made. At the end of another two weeks, Jeremy manages to get most of his monograph finished, to the delight of Hartshorn. Jeremy even runs into Harrison Albright in a hunting and fishing store. The two men have coffee and Jeremy realizes he enjoyed the poet's company.
In the two weeks he also visits Laura Feverbridge twice. The first time he visits, they take a walk in the woods, chatting idly. Laura then invites him to come back when Kevin will not be around so that he can visit her father. On his second visit, Dr. Feverbridge...
