Chapters 7-10 Summary

In Chapter 7, on her way back to the dorms, Rose runs into Mia Rinaldi. Mia is a sworn enemy of Lissa's that Rose has had run ins with before. Mia immediately begins making fun of Rose for the black eye that her mother gave her, causing Rose to make some threats. Rose then goes to Lissa's dorm room because she feels like talking, but she finds Lissa preparing for a date with Christian. Instead they talk about Lissa's research into spirit. Spirit is a rare power and not many have manifested it in recent years, leaving Lissa in a class all alone. However, she has recently discovered stories of others who might have the same power. Then Lissa tells Rose that she should get a boyfriend. Finally, Lissa leaves and Rose returns to her dorm room. While packing her backpack for...
