Tembi Locke

Tembi is the author, main character, and narrator of the memoir From Scratch. As a young woman and art history student, Tembi spends time on an exchange trip in Florence where she meets the man who will eventually become her husband, Saro, and learns to speak Italian. Tembi's chosen major and decision to go on a foreign exchange trip demonstrates a creative, adventurous, curious, and intelligent individual. Tembi dreams of becoming an actress, a goal she eventually accomplishes in New York and Los Angeles.

In addition to her career as an actress, Tembi is a wife and mother. Motherhood has always been something she wanted to experience and being a parent is a big part of her life.
