Chapters 11-13 Summary
James Bond has been living the easy life lately because he has not had any missions. This makes Bond uneasy and moody because he does not like being idle. Bond sits down to eat his breakfast and his housekeeper tells him about a persistent television salesman. Bond briefly thinks the man might be a spy trying to keep tabs on him, but because of his inactivity of late, he does about it much because he cannot imagine why anyone would be concerned with him at this point. Bond goes into the office a little while later, in a foul mood because he has been assigned to a committee to discuss the pros and cons of hiring intellectuals in the MI5 and no one seems to agree with Bond's position on the subject.
