Summary

In Chapter 65, Ferdinand thinks back to when he worked as a ditch digger with people named Titus and Anna. They were chained together and had to work and live in such unity that they were like one person. Adam got bitten by a snake one day, and the gang leader unchained Ferdinand to help Adam. As Ferdinand saw Adam was dying, he ran for freedom. Ferdinand took the gang leader’s knife as he ran, and since that moment, this knife has symbolized freedom for him. In Chapter 66, the rest of the children come up to the perch and Ferdinand is surprised they brought a boat. Juna and Sanzi tell Ferdinand that he does not have to go, and they do not want Ada to go because she is too loud. In Chapter 67, the children realize how shaky the sky bridge...
