Summary

Rachel and Bud started Skyping. Rachel was surprised to see how he had changed. Their conversations made Rachel realize he thought they were dating. They talked about the weather, politics, and money. Then Bud invited her to come to Phnom Penh. Rachel said yes because she did not think "he really meant it" (188).

Saul called Rachel at work to say he had eaten "a huge bowl of mint chip ice cream" (188). He said he was feeling much better. Rachel was thrilled. He had hardly been eating. She hoped that Saul would "be on the good side of statistics" (189). She and Nadia talked about it later.
