The narrator of "Goliath" is an extremely tall man working as a bookkeeper for a carpet warehouse. One day the world seems to dissolve around him, and he sees a man in an Armani suit who tells him that they are just trying to get London reprocessed. Then suddenly the world is normal again. Time passes and he gets another job, and marries a woman called Sandra. Sandra eventually leaves him and takes their kids, and he gets a job selling computers.
