Summary

In Chapters 25 and 26, Violet and the rest of her squadron are sent to a remote mountain outpost for a training exercise in preparation for their upcoming "War Games," a dangerous battle between the different Rider squads. Violet, Dain and the rest of her squad leave Basgiath for their visit to the outpost, called Montserrat. Violet reunites with her sister Mira for the first time in years. The cadets stay there doing training exercises for a few days.

In Chapter 27, Violet notices that Mira is uncomfortable and prejudiced around the cadets with relics, those whose parents were members of the rebellion. Violet confronts her about this, and tells her not to be rude towards her friends. On the third day of the trip, Xaden travels to the outpost.
