Summary
Section 2, Chapter 5 – Jesus foretells the destruction of the Temple and the Diaspora, and the Disciples press him for more information. He explains there will be an End of Age and a Second Coming. The Disciples must have been stunned to think their beautiful city could come crashing down. Josephus, a priest, soldier, and historical scholar, witnesses the destruction of Jerusalem and the Holy Temple. It is a terrifying ordeal full of death and suffering. Jerusalem is the City of God around which the world revolves. It is of undeniable and ultimate importance to Jews and Christians alike.
