Part One: The Last Case: Chapters 9 - 16 Summary

The Three Blind Mice enjoy what they are doing to such a degree that they even film the horrendous crimes they commit. They meet as usual in a log cabin at Kennesaw Mountain where they frequently assemble to smoke cigars, drink too much and relive their youth, telling stories of the past and watching the movies they have made. Watching their latest escapade, they are highly entertained, praising everything from camera work to the killings themselves.

Samson and Alex go to Fort Bragg, and begin asking questions. Alex is immediately struck by the fact that the roads on the base are also used by civilians, making access to the base easy for anyone.
