Chapters 25 and 26 Summary

Over the next two weeks, Mis remains in the library, growing weaker daily. On one day, Bayta helps him bathe, dress in clean clothes, and then take a walk outside. Other than that, he remains completely focused. Toran once says that he doesn't think anything will help, and Bayta insists that he not say that. She says that defeatist talk makes her think the Mule is getting to them. Mis reports that he's concluded that there was nothing actually wrong with Seldon's Plan. The problem was that Seldon predicted mass societal trends and movements. The Mule, as an individual, fell outside the realm of possible predictions by psychohistory. Mis has located the minutes of the meeting in which Seldon set up the two Foundations. Mis says he's found a reference to the Second Foundation, but has not yet found a location...
