Trevize has sex with the transportation minister and knows that he has to prove himself as a strong, virile lover. After their encounter, Lizalor goes to sleep and Trevize admits that he also wants to sleep. However, he holds himself back so that he's watching her when she awakes. Trevize rightly guesses that he has satisfied Lizalor and tells her that he has a plan for them to remain lovers.
