Part 3, Dors Venabili, Chapters 14-27 Summary
Entering the Imperial Palace grounds unarmed, Dors takes down an unwary guardsman, highjacks his car, speeds to army headquarters, disarms half of the contingent that blocks her demands to see Linn, and threatens to kill him before reinforcements can arrive. Having proved that she can reach Linn, in Chapter 15 Dors threatens him and Tennar, should harm befall Hari. Linn claims that the junta merely shares the interest of previous rulers in psychohistory, which has been government-funded and must show practical results. Linn insists that Hari has private enemies for whose actions he wants not to be blamed. Dors demands to join her husband.
In Chapter 16, because billions of credits have brought no progress, Tennar threatens to cut off funding. He has heard from Project insiders that psychohistory expects his rule to collapse, rejects Hari's objections...
