Summary
In Chapter 8, even though Curzon thought better of it, he stored his sack in a tent that Eben pointed out to him. While they were eating, Curzon was alarmed when Eben began yelling out to his uncle that he had found Curzon. Curzon was afraid Trumbull, the man from whom he had stolen might be around. Just as Curzon feared, Trumbull caught up with him and threatened him just as the sergeant, who turned out to be Eben’s uncle, walked up to them. Trumbull accused Curzon of stealing from him but Eben claimed that Curzon was on his way to the sergeant’s tent to enlist in the army. He went to get Curzon’s bag.
