Overlook Hospital

Overlook Hospital is where Katherine works as a candy striper every Thursday after school. Katherine suffers from guilt as a result of being afraid of her father’s grandparents when she visited them in the hospital as a child and not getting to know them before they died. She works as a candy striper in the geriatric ward so that she can encourage the older people and make them comfortable.

Planned Parenthood

Katherine’s grandmother works for Planned Parenthood and Katherine goes to Planned Parenthood of New York in order to get birth control so that she can continue to have sex with Michael.

Birth Control

When Katherine decides to pursue a physical relationship with Michael, she goes to Planned Parenthood of New York and goes on the Pill. Katherine takes on the responsibility of birth control as her own.
