Summary

In “Forests of Israel,” Jules dreams of a forest and decides he wants to plant trees (400,000 of them) to honor his parents. He contacts the National Jewish Fund, and a representative helps him scout locations. He chooses a mountainous area in the northern Negev Desert. His cousin Moti accompanies him, and expresses concern for Jules' well-being. Afterward, Jules receives a call from Rabbi Klausner and does not answer. He does not attend the reunion for the descendants of David, but he purchases a book of David's psalms and reads them. The next morning, Jules receives a visitor at the hotel, the woman from the bathtub at Gilgul. Her name is Yael and she is Rabbi Klausner's daughter. She has brought some information about David for Klausner, and mentions that she is making a...
