The Giralang Ranges

The Giralang Ranges is a remote bushland in Australia. The weather is cold and inhospitable, and the trees are dense and difficult to move through. 25 years prior to the narrative action, Martin Kovak killed several young women in the area, and so the entire range is notoriously haunted by the horrific memories of the terrible past. Most of the action takes place in the bushland, which comes to exist as the villain of the novel as the women get more and more lost within the horrific prison.
