Summary

In Chapter 22, Falk and Carmen went into the cabin with Sergeant King. There was blood splattered on the ground that appeared recent. The chapter broke and switched to Jill’s perspective of Saturday night. After the physical fight, Alice told Bree that she would fire her, and Beth told her not to threaten her sister. Jill put Alice’s phone in her jacket pocket and told everyone to go to sleep.

In Chapter 23, Falk and Carmen went outside to explore the area around the cabin. Falk’s phone beeped, and he realized that he had a signal. He got Sergeant King and showed him the area. Fifteen minutes later, they found Alice’s backpack. The chapter broke and on Sunday morning Alice left the cabin with Jill’s jacket and her phone as a nameless someone watched her walk into the bush.
