Priorities
Flying Changes demonstrates that unexpected events in life can change priorities. Annemarie, Eva, and Dan are forced to re-evaluate their priorities when they learn Roger and Sonja have been involved in a horrific car crash. Before the accident, Annemarie is distraught because the Old Man, a rock formation and the state symbol, has collapsed. Eva blames her parents for her disastrous results at a show, and Dan is frustrated with Annemarie for not listening to him. However, the priorities of these three shift after facing the reality of how quickly things can change. They realize how much they mean to one another.
