The Boy's Garden

The boy’s garden is the setting at which the first few sections of the story take place. It is here where the boy cultivates his flying abilities and develops his sense of ambition. Eventually, the boy departs his garden to venture further from his home.

The Boy's Neighborhood

The boy’s neighborhood is where the boy spends his entire summer. Here, he witnesses his friends fly around on their carpets. His experience doing this causes him to develop a dangerous sense of ambition.

The Sky

The boy intermittently flies through the high skies throughout the story. The climax of his journeys through the skies takes place high above his city, exploring the clouds and noticing the roofs of the buildings below.
