Chapter 12: The Dinner Summary

Juli decided to go to the dinner because she didn't want to disappoint her mother who was looking forward to a nice dinner out. She thought about Bryce. He had never been a friend. He didn't support her stand on the tree, he'd thrown away her eggs and he ridiculed her uncle. He did apologize when she arrived at the house but how could she trust him?

At dinner, Juli was surprised how Lynetta took up for her brothers and their music. Juli was also surprised that her mother enjoyed hearing her sons' loud rock music - she seemed to be proud of them. Her dad was smiling and proud, too. Juli felt compelled to apologize to Bryce at the end of the dinner. She was sorry she was rude and interrupted his apology.
