Chapter 3: Buddy, Beware! Summary
There were some changes for Bryce in seventh grade, but not what he would have expected. For one thing, his grandfather moved in with them. All the old guy did was sit on the porch and stare at the Baker's front yard which was always a mess or read or did crossword puzzles. He hardly ever talked to Bryce. His mother said he missed Bryce's grandmother who had just recently died. He did point out to Bryce that there was an article about Juli Baker in the newspaper. Juli climbed an old sycamore tree that was located on a nearby vacant lot.
