Summary

On the way to work, Fleabag notices a man staring at her (referred to only as Chub Chub – a reference to his weight). Fleabag thinks he is attracted to her, however when he walks past her she hears him say “Walk of shame” (14) under his breath.

Fleabag tells the audience about the recent death of her best friend Boo with whom she ran the guinea pig themed café before Boo’s death. Fleabag explains that Boo died after deliberately walking into a cycling lane, when a fast-moving bike knocked her into an oncoming car. Three people died in the incident, including Boo. Fleabag reveals that Boo didn’t want to kill herself, she just wanted to injure herself in order to worry her boyfriend, who had recently revealed that he had slept with someone else, leaving Boo distraught.
