chapter 17 - 24 Summary

Back at school, in photography class, Marissa tells Blake that her mom is home from rehab and asks him to take another photo of her since she's clean now. Mr. Malloy says that Blake's photos are gritty and Marissa's are pretty. Reluctantly, Blake goes over and takes pictures of Marissa's mom, who loathes having her picture taken.

Blake is unsure if he should tell Shannon that he went to Marissa's house. He doesn't tell her, but she finds out later when they are at Ottomans and one of their friends asks Blake how it went. Shannon feels like she cannot trust Blake. However, Blake saves the day by reminding Shannon that he loves her.

Blake and Riley talk about the upcoming Homecoming dance and whom Riley should take as a date. They decide on Kaylee, Shannon's friend, which makes Shannon happy...
