Redford “Red” Kenny
Redford “Red” Kenny is the central character in the novel. She is the one who has the secret the sniper wants.
Red is a guilt-ridden teen who believes she is responsible for her mother’s death because she told her mother that she hated her and then hung up the phone. Her mother, a police captain, was shot execution-style ten minutes later. Her killer was never identified.
As the tension in the RV increases, Red admits to her friends that she is the star witness in a first-degree murder case. Her identity is supposed to be unknown because the defendant in the case is a Philadelphia mafia member known for intimidating and killing witnesses.
Red learns the sniper already knows she is the witness. He wants to know who has convinced her to testify since she will be giving false testimony. Catherine, the assistant district attorney...
