Summary
After her vicious fights with Edwyn begin, Neve finds herself visiting her mother more often. She travels to her mother’s “bachelorette pad,” where the home is still cluttered with all of her mother’s collections of belongings she has yet to throw out. The two enjoy a cup of tea on her tiny balcony and, as in the previous sections, the conversation swirls around the men in Neve’s mother’s life. This time, she speaks of a man named Eric whom she visited in California. He did not take her anywhere and she did not enjoy her trip. Neve returns home late, which results in her waking up Edwyn. He is rude at first and then becomes instantly tender, telling her that he truly loves her.
