Summary

In Chapter 21, Evie and Ryan meet back at the hotel. They make plans to meet up with Rachel the next day to prepare for the police interview (257).

While Evie is cleaning up before meeting Ryan for dinner, she hears Ryan talking to Geroge through the wall. She panics and texts Ryan that she will be late meeting him. Terrified that Ryan is playing her, she starts feeling sick (261). Ryan returns to the room and finds her upset in the shower. She assures him she is just tired.

In Chapter 22, Evie wakes up before Ryan the next day and looks through his things, desperate to know if he is working with George and Smith. She finds some papers that George gave him on her. She fears that Ryan knows she is looking into his business and that she will lose her job with Smith...
