Summary

In Chapter 18, Evie has to report to Atlanta for Mr. Smith and fears that Rachel will accompany her. They are supposed to be in Atlanta at the same time for Evie’s police investigation. She tries to explain to Rachel that she has things to do in the city alone, and promises to meet Rachel there. She secretly plans to go over the case with Devon instead of Rachel (192). Ryan joins and he and Rachel start talking about James. When Atlanta comes up again, Ryan offers to come, too.
