Chapters 9 & 10 Summary

Lily awakens at the LaSalle street clinic, feeling like she was hit by a bus. Scout is by her bedside, ready to bring Lily whatever she needs. Before Scout can question why Lily was following her again, Lily announces that the brat pack lured her into the basement and locked her down there, which is how she happened across Scout and Jason, not because she was following them. Now that she has been attacked by one of Scout's enemies, Lily demands to know what's going on. She deserves at least that much. Scout takes a deep breath, but agrees. Lily was hit by a firespell, but she doesn't go into much more detail because Lily's parents phone desperately from Germany. Lily quickly tells her parents that she's all right and then demands to know whether or not they know Foley. The line goes...
