Chapters 12-15 Summary

In Chapter 12, Katya returns from the lab exhausted. She was hoping that her father had made dinner, but instead he was making a smoothie. A few years back Katya's mother died and her father quit his job. Now, Katya goes to work and her father stays home. Later in the evening, Katya calls Othman to tell him what she discovered. They agree to meet later that week and Othman explains that Nayir is also working on the investigation. He gives Katya Nayir's number so that she can talk with him.

Katya's evidence reveals that the DNA from the scratches and underneath her fingernails matches the DNA to the baby. Katya wants to get samples to test. Katya will need Nayir to help her.
