Chapters 20-30 Summary

In Chapter 20, the day of the party arrives. Marcie unkindly forces Nora to do most of the work. As the party begins, Nora is happy to see Patch arrive in costume. They sneak off to the bathroom to make amends. Nora's mother catches them and banishes Patch from the house. Nora returns to the party just minutes before fallen angels arrive. They hunt for Nora until she is forced to show herself. The innocent are allowed to leave, but the lead fallen angel pins down Nora and tells her to swear the oath of fealty.

In Chapter 21, Nora refuses and begins to fight. The fallen angel is much stronger, but Nora is able to use her mental abilities to convince him that he has been staked in his wing scars. The man is disabled. Dabria shows up then and tells her...
