Summary

In Chapter 4, "Majnoun's End," Majnoun and Nira become best friends. Meanwhile, Nira and Miguel's relationship begins to suffer. Nira sometimes gets frustrated when Majnoun does shockingly dog-like things. She often forgets they are not the same. Though the three members of the home respect one another, Majnoun realizes how important status is to their operation. Majnoun knows the importance of respecting Miguel, as he is the true leader. If Miguel questions Majnoun's intelligence, however, Nira grows angry and shuts him out. The couple's disputes worried Majnoun. In order to protect Nira and Miguel's relationship, he decides he must leave. When Hermes and Apollo realize his plans, Hermes intercedes.

He appears to Majnoun in a dream, urging him to stay with Nira. He promises that the two will never again suffer a lapse in communication. Afterwards, Majnoun hears music in a car and...
