Serapio

Serapio is a representation of what happens when one's purpose defeats their desires. He really wants human connection, but believes he must give that up to be the god everyone else wants. This causes him to sacrifice everything about himself to become a true weapon because others see him as nothing but a divine being with no feelings of his own. Therefore, Serapio loses himself.

Naranpa

Naranpa represents another view on one's purpose against their needs. She is similar to Serapio in that she gives up a lot for simply being the sun god's avatar. She struggles with her grief after Denaochi's death. Yet, while Serapio gives up to become the crow god's avatar, Naranpa takes a step back and wants to improve herself and learn more.
