Summary

In this section, Amanda tells David what happens following Carla’s story about David’s spiritual migration. In Amanda’s story, Amanda tells Carla that she needs to check on Nina, so she leaves the car and goes inside her house. Amanda finds Nina quietly playing with a chair. In present day, Amanda realizes that she does not know where Nina is, so she asks David if he knows, to which David responds that it is not important. Next, David urges Amanda to continue the story.
